Louisiana State University of Alexandria is a publicly supported institution with a strategic goal to increase public-private partnerships. Northwestern State University, Louisiana Christian University and Central Louisiana Community Technical College also create a strong pipeline of talent by offering a full list of programs that meet the requisites of communities and local businesses.

  • The Alexandria Metro Region is home to nine Opportunity Zones across five parishes (counties). These community development zones offer a federal tax incentive for investors to re-invest their capital gains into growing, lower-income communities around the country.
